Welcome to the Intersection, a new worshipping community, where faith and life meet.
Every Thursday @ 7:30 PM
The Intersection is a new worshipping community in the College Park & Hyattsville area. We welcome anyone who is seeking and searching to discover God's love through Jesus Christ. That's why our vision is - "where faith and life meet".
We celebrate diversity - of race, thought, culture, and spirituality. We are open to all people, especially those who are still figuring out their faith.
We are part of University Christian Church, a generous, missional community that has been telling God's story for 55+ years.
Intersections are busy places where people cross paths, learn, grow, and make a difference. We believe the Gospel story is really about God's story intersecting with our story. We want to tell that story for our neighborhood, that God is present and alive at your intersection, wherever and however that may look. We seek to offer hope, compassion, and healing in those places where we are wounded, bitter, and disappointed. As part of our larger church community, we will use our gifts to help homeless neighbors, teen parents at Northwestern High School, and families in need.
We need you to help shape this community with creativity, passion, and questions. Here are a few ways to get started:
Join us for worship. Our Thursday evening gathering is informal and powerful. We enjoy listening to different viewpoints about faith and spirituality. Come as you are. After worship, we follow our time together with more conversation at an area pub or someone's home.
Contact us with your questions or concerns. You can use the link below to email Rev. Nathan. There is no such thing as a bad question.
Sign up to help. We have a sign-up sheet if you would like to lead conversation, offer music, or organize our afterglow fellowship.
The Intersection meets at 7:30 PM on Thursday evenings at University Christian Church (6800 Adelphi Rd) in the Narthex or Sanctuary for worship, prayer, and conversation. Everyone is welcome. There is plenty of parking available. Park in the lot closest to Adelphi Rd and come in through the double doors. Our building is handicap accessible.
